Weekend Wishes: The Little Things

Happy Friday, friends! Sometimes holiday work weeks can feel so long and drawn out, but this one has flown by. As most of you know, I'm a high school counselor by day, and tonight is our graduation. I have so many mixed emotions right now. There are some really special kids in this class, this is the group that I traveled to Florida with a few weeks ago, and I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that they're ready to take on the next chapter in their lives. I couldn't be happier for their accomplishments and everything that's about to happen for them. God has put me right where I need to be.

I wanted to close out the week with some photos I snapped around the house recently of some of my current favorite things. It's a hodge-podge of pieces that I just had to share with you. Hope you enjoy! Happy weekend and happy graduation to all you graduates out there!

{ Emily Schuman's new book Cupcakes and Cashmere at Home was delivered this week! Can't wait to start reading it this weekend. You can get her first book here. }

{ As I'm sure you've noticed, I have been so obsessed with bright, beaded, stackable bracelets lately. When I found the turquoise set and the stretchy, sequin set at work last week, I snatched them up immediately. The tassel bangles are Lauren Conrad from Kohl's.}

{ Too Faced Melted Lipstick is my new beauty obsession. Why did y'all not tell me about this?! }

{ I've been following Aliza Licht (aka: DKNYPRGirl) on twitter since I got a twitter five years ago. And now, she's put all her 140-character smarts, wits, and knowledge into a book. }

{ I got these silver/platinum Jack Rogers sandals during their Memorial Day sale over the weekend. (hands in the air emoji here) }

{ Those pink cards say "How the devil are you?" - Kate Spade, you kill me. The personalized ones were designed by Melissa Noucas of The Atelier. }

{ I will not apologize for my tassel obsession. Thread tassels, gifted Gold & Gray | Suede tassels, Versona }

Currently Crushing: Dana Gibson Design

Currently Crushing: Dana Gibson

I recently discovered Dana Gibson design and home decor. It's a party that I was definitely late to, but better late than never, right? Her pieces are my style through-and-through and have a certain charm and quirk that would add personality to any room. Above are a few of my favorite home accessories - most of them would be investment pieces for me, but I'm definitely not ruling them out. What do you think?

one. Pink Tray Table | two. Lumbar Pillow | three. Tea Towel | four. Tea Towel | five. Chintz Lamp
six. Ginger Jar | seven. Ginger Jar | eight. Pink Tray | nine. Pink Cachepot | ten. Empress Cachepot
eleven. Horse Pillow

Sophia Webster's Charming Space

Recently, The Coveteur visited shoe designer Sophia Webster at her charming East London home. The space was exactly what you would expect from someone who designs conversation pieces like these. Not to mention, her precious love bug Bibi Blossom made several appearances in the feature. I figured there were no better photos to give us a little inspiration today! And her flamingo obsession is speaking right to my heart!

Let's Go There: Cincinnati for Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Memorial Day weekend, friends! I am so excited to be reviving my Let's Go There series for another summer! I debuted this series last year as a fun alternative to the "what's in my bag" posts that everyone loves. I asked some of my favorites bloggers to share what they were packing on their summer vacations - literally, around the world! And it ended up being one of my favorite series that I've ever done on the blog.

This weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and it seemed like the perfect time to roll out the first feature in this summer's lineup - my friend Jessica of Bedknobs & Baubles. You can see what she packed last summer on her trip to Belgium here! I hope you enjoy!

Good question! We'll be playing much of the trip by ear, but there are a few things I'm looking forward to: grilled cheese donuts (amazing or disgusting?), exploring the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, a stroll on the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge (the predecessor to the Brooklyn Bridge), and plenty of brewery stops!

Unless we're traveling internationally, I always try to pack my items into my leather duffle bag. I bought this one a few years ago and it has more than enough room for vacation essentials--especially when I'm packing lightweight summer dresses. To save space, I'll keep my footwear to a minimum with just one pair of sandals and a pair of Sperry's in case it rains.

It's going to be a colorful weekend in Cincinnati! I've been itching to wear a couple of new summer dresses that I recently picked up: this off-the-shoulder beauty from MICHAEL Michael Kors and this shift dress.
